Rocky Votolato is an Italian-American musician. He was born in a rural hospital near Carrolton, Texas in 1978, though was raised in the Pacific Northwest.

Conor Oberst’s first solo (well, sort of solo - he’s playing with the “Mystic Valley Band”) work in 13 years is a refreshing change of pace, finding Oberst moving in a decidedly alt-country direction, sounding less like Tim Kasher and more like Rocky Votolato.
