Tecmo has announced Rygar: The Battle of Argus for the Nintendo Wii will miss this week’s target launch date and instead release on February 3, 2009. No reason for the delay was given, but we’re assuming they’d prefer some exclusive face time on the shelf in Feb. as opposed to competing with all of that Holiday biz-nass. You’d be forgiven for assuming the Wii port of Rygar was quietly cancelled. It’s been a while since Tecmo has talked about it and we’d only seen a 30 second video of it in action at last year’s Tokyo Game Show. But Rygar is still here, it’s coming this December, and we’ve played it — and came away impressed. While the original was awesome, the remake was beautiful. They Show new pics to probe that the game is still alive. Tecmo today release a list of their upcoming holiday line up. This list is full of exciting games like Temco Bowl: Kickoff for the Nintendo DS and Rygar: The Battle of Argus hitting the Wii.
